As a bird lover, you might need to construct a large bird cage when you’ve got a larger bird for a pet or several smaller birds sharing one cage. The beauty of creating the cage yourself is that you can make it tailor made for every one of your critters, which will all have distinct personalities and prefer different characteristics of a cage over others. Other benefits are that you can tailor it into the space available in your house and is less expensive than buying a huge bird cage in a shop.

Here 7 step how to make bird cages out of wood:
Step 1: Measurements
The measurements of this huge bird cage will be 40-inches square. Yours will vary depending upon the size of this bird.
Step 2: Type of Cage
Before building, choose the manner of big bird cage you need, this report will show you how you can construct a basic cage.
Step 3: Preparing the Wood
Cut the wood into meter-long lengths; in total, you will need 16 pieces so that every side has a square of wood. You’ll also have to cut two 40-inch square pieces of wood to the bottom and the roof of the cage. Before building the crate, make sure the wood is sanded smooth and down.
Step 4: Make the Frame
The timber for your large bird cage is going to be combined together using stainless steel claws as some other metals will endanger the birds. Firstly, join the timber like you were creating a wooden picture frame. Repeat this step to create four frames. Second, combine the wooden picture frames together into a cube form. Thirdly, secure the bigger pieces of wood into the bottom and top.
Step 5: Add the Wire
Using wire will enable the birds to see from the cage. The cable will be fastened to each side of the frame using stainless steel staples. Primarily cut the cable sheets so that they’re 40-inches square and you have a total of four sheets. Second, staple one sheet of wire to each side.
Step 6: Creating a Door Frame
The door will have the following dimensions: 8 x 6 inches wide. Firstly, create a wooden framework using the very same techniques as you did to create the frame. Second, cut on an 8×6-inch hole from the net on the right-hand side of the front of the cage. Thirdly, fasten the door frame in place by attaching it to the Cage’s wooden framework and stapling the present mesh into the doorframe of the large bird cage.
Step 7: The Door
Construct another smaller wooden frame that fits in the door frame. Next, staple the cable that you removed onto the interior framework. Then attach the interior frame to the outer frame with a stainless steel hinge. Last, create a lock on the opposite side by tying a piece of stainless steel cable between the cage mesh and the door mesh. You now have a brand new big bird cage for your feathered friends.
